Better Days among the sands:

Love the weather that we have had today from a great sunrise cresting in the early hours this morning and casting rays across the bay and the south coast to a blue sky day that would have to go down as one of the many nice ones we have had on the coast.

It was sad to see among this nice weather that a missing person still has not been located on our coast.

Wellington Police investigating the disappearance of lawyer and conservationist Robert Logan

more than a month ago are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

The 51 year-old was reported missing to Police on Friday 27th August and Police located his white 1991 Nissan Sunny station wagon at the Owhiro Bay car park later that same day.

If you can help the police with this, please get in contact with them as it would be wonderful to find Robert even if it is for the sake of closure, but one hopes he is still with us and i am sure those police and family still looking for him think so also.

Was wonderful to watch a woman and young child looking out to see watching an aircraft land in over the strait among the wisps of sand that were getting blown about made for a very good image, kicked myself that i did not have my camera with me.

Now as the day slowly draws to a close its nice to watch the light turn and a few clouds role in will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings.

would love to have others write stories about life on the coast and if you would like to see them posted here, drop us an email at news@thebay.net.nz

Have a good night all

Weekends:

Now this weather that we were ment to be hit with over the next few days has caught some of the country hard but than in other parts its just been like a normal storm, lightening, thunder and rain and well snow down south but other than that nothing to much more.

Now im not trying to say it was nothing much, but it did feel a little like an over reaction in part, I mean we get storms, we get them every year ... they can include some really bad winds or lightening or thunder and in part it felt like something we had well gone through in previous years.

I am glad the metservice was warning people though, so we had time to take caution and i would hope reduce the loss in life among farm animals and those that may have been more exposed to the weather change than others.

How did you find it all for you ?

Here in my little part of the world, we had rain, we had wind ... and thunder .... and i think in the hutt valley we had some lightening strikes ... but well that was all from what i know, hey happy to be corrected on that.

Now the weekend is with us on the coast and this saturday has infact been rather nice, with blue sky and sun .. but a breeze still there.

Do you have much planned for the weekend, if your coming out to the coast what are your plans on our wild coast ?

Would love to see photos that you may have taken over the weekend if you want to share please send them on through to us at news@thebay.net.nz
