River Levels rise: Rai Valley

Nelson police advise that the river at the turnoff at SH6, Rai Valley into the Sounds has burst its banks.
There is 4WD access only and it appears to be getting worse.
It is also getting worse towards Havelock and indications are that the Pelorus river may also burst its banks.

Take care folks with the rain around today, though this is for the Nelson area, would really suggest drive to the conditions and hey if you have to take a little longer to get to where you are going do so.

Rain drops keep falling on my head:

Woke up again to the rain this morning, its good for the gardens and the plans but i have to say i kind of get tired of it now and than would be so nice to have a good run of say a week with out the wet stuff, oh well back to counting the drops and lets see if i can get past a few million before i loose track this time.

On the late shift at work today so just drifting at the moment and seeing what the morning brings.

Had a good day at work yesterday, learnt a few lesons and sort of wonder maybe if i could do a situation again i would maybe do it in a different way but hey that is what life is all about learning and i tell you what working for an airline one is always learning.

I have found that I am having to more make decisions and stick to my calls and hey if i make the wrong one learn from it and do it a diffrent way next time, working for an airline is never dull.

Anyways just a short one today, I hope what ever the day brings you, stay warm and if you make it out to the bay, drop past Maranui for Lunch or have a coffee at Mint or Wild Style ..... just to mention a few places to put ones feet up and watch the day go by on a wet one like this.
