Been a very good day today, though have to admit to much food for
lunch but i have to say it was a good thing :) to catch up with family
and talk over a few things.

It was funny being on Courtney place today and watching the day before
going into a movie for the afternoon and just seeing what was
happening around one.

Just to watch can be a good thing and when one has good food and talk
what more can you want in life.

Though i have to admit the grey sky kind of pissed me off for a bit
today and i have to say this is not like me as i normally quiet like
it.

Back quite a few years ago now I spent two years in Vancouver, got to
be the best city out side of New Zealand that one and if you dont like
rain it would be a hard city to go to as due to where it is located
one can get a long run of rain and cold at times.

But heck its not about the weather that draws one to a city its about
the people and the events and nature of the place, I would have to say
and i do mean this in a safe way if you ever go traveling get out side
the main drag, go to where the locals go more...

Hey it might be away from the big name places but i asure you most
times you will not regret it as you will find things that you will
love !!

I think that is one of the many things i love about the job that i do.

We see so many people travel out of Wellington up to Auckland and down
to Christchurch to start there OE's, you see the nerves, you see the
joy and you see the pleasure of starting something they have been
looking forward to for ages.

I find that if we can start it off right it gives them great joy, but
also gives us great joy ...
Hey at times though if it does go wrong and yes it can do what one can
to get it corrected and you cant go wrong...

Its been something i have learnt through the years, to be real and to
be open as if you just be a uniform .... you will not connect with who
you are dealing with.

anyways enough of me for the night, got a busy few days ahead....

Oil: - let's become a leader !

Oil: its funny what can make one think about things.
Was just watching the "daily show" and there was a good skit on what
those in power in the USA have said through the years about .....

Getting off being dependent on oil.

With the BP spill and other problems we have seen through the years we
need to move on from needing oil.

Can you think of how this could be done and a time frame so it does happen.
Now I know we have the likes of cars that run on other things now and
wind farms ect.
Buy maybe we need to develop a plan so we can get off the black stuff full stop!
For our power needs for the needs of many other things maybe we can
never truly leave it behind as it is also used in the production of
certain things as well.

Lets as a country lead the world from not being such a slave to the black stuff.
We have such great minds in this country, let's see what we can come
up with and let's make sure we stick to the plan !

Not meaning to sound like a greenie advert but we do only have one
world let's look after it.
Let's as New Zealand show the rest of the world how it is done with out
destroying and f**king alot of things up in the process.

After the way the All Whites did in the world cup people are watching
our little nation more so let's make the most of it and become a
leader !

Nature and Man

Ok the subject is a strange one and I may change it before I finish writing this, but I was thinking yesterday..
The affects that weather can have on people, we have had a really strange run of weather done this part of the world. 

Hey maybe just typical winter weather but the wind and the rain seems to have been ongoing for a bloody long time at the moment. 

Its good to see the affects weather have on people and i think it is just the affect of the ongoing cold days as of late that has brought people down a little. 

but hey I guess it is winter after all. 

Do you feel, things have gotten a lot more wintery than what the weather used to be ?

I wonder if what we are doing as Man is having an affect on this all and we are seeing the results of what we do. 

Now I know this is meaning the whole global warming thing. 

I just hope we sort this all out before we see the likes of the big movie disaster movies ... but mind you when one looks at the weather overseas one has to wonder if it is already happening and is too late to put a stop to it all.
