Wellywood sign: On hold.
Great to see people power at work with the Wellington Airport company putting any plans for the Wellywood sign on hold after community displeasure with the sign was widely shown.
The airport company now looks to go to that same community and ask for suggestions of what should go up.
One has to ask why was this not done in the first place?
We have a city that we are strongley proud of, one would hope this will be one of many times that companies see it is better to consult with your community before forging ahead with something that will be on such public display.
